| The
Las Cruces International Airport is 9 miles west of downtown Las Cruces
just 1 mile north of exit 132 of I-10.
When
we last checked, the Las Cruces Airport was not served commercial
passenger carriers. This area is served by the
El Paso
International Airport
just to the south. The airport, however, is host to a good deal of general
aviation visitors. There are no discount hotels at the airport. Most of the hotels seem to be clustered around exits 139, 140 and 142 of I-10 (8 miles and more from the airport) or along I-25 east of town which is several miles more distant. Except for the Hilton, the hotels in Las Cruces do NOT offer free Van service to/from their airport! Las Cruces Shuttle Service (1-800-288-1784) seems to be the only provider of van service. Their rates are about $35 (plus $15 for your companion) one-way; $60 round-trip (if purchased at the same time) to the hotels marked with a '$' in the VANS column, below.
