About Oklahoma City
National Cowboy Museum -
Here's just the place for kids of all ages.
For the younger set they have created a special 'Cowboy Corral' which a
building designed for kids. Here the youngster can dress up in real
western gear, mount a kid-sized saddle. This is a great place for the
young, and not-as-young, to learn a few things about the how cowboys
worked - and lived (because they didn't work all the time).
Oklahoma City Nat'l
Memorial -
"Few events in the past quarter-century have rocked
Americans' perception of themselves and their institutions and brought
together the people of our nation with greater intensity than the April
19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown
Oklahoma City.
This
Outdoor Symbolic Memorial to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal
Building is at the site and open 24 hours, 365 days. NPS Rangers are on
duty from April through September (inclusive) 9a to 10p; 9a to 5p the
remainder of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Days. Oklahoma City is currently temporary host of the New Orleans Hornets NBA basketball team and the Saints of the National Football League, both momentarily homeless due to that devastating hurricane. These teams are very popular and tickets can be hard to come by - especially at the last minute. If you would like to watch one of their games while in Oklahoma City, Ticket-Lady.com can probably get your tickets at a pleasant price. Or, if you already have tickets but find you will be unable to use them, Ticket-Lady.com would be most happy to buy them from you. You can be sure there is someone out there looking for those tickets. Reserving a room in a fine hotel in the Oklahoma City area is very easy here on Reserv-Net. Just select the community with a left-click of your mouse and then select the hotel of your choice. You can even request desired amenities. |
