Tijuana is reputed to be the busiest international border crossing in the world. Since 9-11, the increased security has made entry into the US even more difficult and time consuming. While some effort is being expended to expedite 'frequent crossers', the pleasure traveler still can expect to be inconvenienced.

Entry through the airports, while security has been strengthened, is still a breeze in comparison. If you can fly in and out of Tijuana, you have a definite advantage. There is one, temporary, wrinkle. The airport will be closed in the evenings through (this is a guess) August while runway repairs are being made.
