Dallas is
one of the most exciting cities in the 'Sun Belt', boasting hundreds of
exciting attractions and events. Four or less hours from most North
American cities, it is considered to have the best shopping in the
southwest. Dallas is empowered with a host of four and five 'diamond'
hotels and restaurants. The numerous amusement parks include Six
Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor, GameWorks, and AMF FunFest. Dallas
also has many sites of historic interest, including the "Sixth Floor
Museum" at Dealey Plaza and the Southfork Ranch, the estate of
television's very popular Ewing Family ("Dallas").
Dallas has built and maintains one of the fastest growing light
rail systems in the United States. Yet it also has the popular, historic
McKinney Avenue Trolley which transports visitors between the Dallas
Arts District and the Dallas Uptown with its many pubs, boutiques,
restaurants shops and hotels.
"The Big D" has blended entertainment, dining, and culture into a
well-rounded experience for every visitor.
The Dallas area is home to the Mavericks NBA basketball team, Texas
Rangers American League baseball team and the Cowboys of the National
Football League.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area is served by the Dallas-Fort Worth
International Airport which is about midway between Dallas (21 miles)
and Fort Worth (25 miles). Dallas-Fort worth ('DFW') is currently the
worlds third busiest airport handling around 1,800 flights daily. The Airport (DFW) has a unique layout. The primary
access road, International Parkway, (a toll road) splits the airport running north-south
giving equal access from either north or south ends. Grapevine is adjacent to the north and
Euless to the south. Irving, where most of the hotels near DFW are actually
located, is about 4 miles east and southeast (toward Dallas) of DFW.
