Kissimmee is served by the
Orlando International Airport
which is about 23 miles from Disney World in Kissimmee. Primary access to the airport
terminal is via Interstate 4 (exit 82-C) and the Bee Line Tollway. For

Kissimmee
is on US-192. Kissimmee's addresses range in location from right at Disney
World to about 12 miles east. Most visitors to Walt Disney World choose to
stay at a hotel in the Kissimmee area because of proximity to Disney
World, Epcot Center, etc., and (in many cases) lower cost. Kissimmee has excellent access to
Florida's Turnpike as well as I-4.
We have included a new column,
'VAN', to indicate those hotels offering FREE van service to Disney World
(and, frequently, other theme parks in the area).

We have
divided the Kissimmee area into five regions for your convenience in
finding a place to stay (see
MAP). Folks traveling on the Florida Turnpike may find East Kissimmee
more convenient.
The 'Near West', 'Near I-4' and 'Far West' regions are
about as close to the WDW theme parks as you'll get and the room
rates are surprisingly low (frequently less than $40 per night). 'Central'
Kissimmee has a lot of its own activity and many desirable attractions.
There are also many hotels next door (see
Universal Studios)
as well as the rest of Orlando (see:
Orlando).
Room rates are, typically, higher but the hotels are also more
deluxe.
