St. Louis makes a
stunning first visual impression. The Mississippi River laps against a
cobblestone levee reflecting towering office buildings, elegant shopping
centers, and hotels. The construction of the 630 foot Gateway Arch in the
1960's was intended to bring recognition to St. Louis as the "Gateway to
the West".
St. Louis is home to the Bobcats NBA basketball team, the Cardinals
National League baseball team and the Rams of the National Football
League.
